What do you need to do the task?

Dishwasher

Step-By-Step

1. To turn on the dishwasher, find the stacked metal boxes above and to the right of the dishwasher.

2. Push up the two levers on the right on the metal boxes.

3. On the metal box below and to the right of the dishwasher, press the black button to turn the dishwasher on.

3. Inside the dishwasher, find the curved metal lever that sits on the right edge and just below the line of the dishwasher counter. Pull this level up to allow the water tank to fill.

4. Close the door of the dishwasher by pulling down on the angled door handle.

5. The dishwasher will fill with water and heat up. You can find the water temperature on the metal box below and to the right of the dishwasher.

6. Wait for the water temperature to reach 160°F before running dishes through it.

7. At the end of the night when all the dishes have been cleaned, drain the dishwasher by pushing the curved lever down on the inside right edge of the dishwasher.

8. Once the water has drained, remove the strainer found near the top right corner of the dishwasher.

9. Dump out the debris into the garbage, and spray off any remaining debris in the dish pit.

10. Once clean, return the strainer into is original position in the dishwasher.

11. Turn off the dishwasher by pressing the black button on the metal box located below and to the right of the dishwasher.

12. Pull down the two levers on the stacked metal boxes above and to the right of the dishwasher.

13. Leave the dishwasher doors open.

What does “done right” look like?

Dishwasher is turned on before the ceremony starts.

Dishwasher is turned off at the end of the night with the doors staying open.

If water is very dirty, drain the water and refill by completing steps 7-10, and steps 3-6, in that order.

Common problems or mistakes?

Forgetting to clean out the strainer at the end of the night or if water becomes very dirty

Closing dishwasher doors at the end of the night instead of leaving them open to dry out.
