Tall white garbage bag x1
Gray cleaning rags x2
Toilet paper
Step-By-Step
1. Obtain cleaning supplies from the shelves in the Cleaning Closet- toilet bowl cleaner, pink "Method" disinfectant spray, broom and dustpan, disposable gloves (under kitchen island), 2 gray cleaning rags (plastic drawer in hallway between Dinnerware Closet and Kitchen), soap refill, white garbage bag (plastic drawer in Cleaning Closet Hallway) and mop and mop bucket (as needed).
2. Put on disposable gloves.
3. Lift up each toilet seat and apply toilet bowl cleaner in the toilet bowl and in the urinal of the Men's room.
4. Spray the entire toilet (handle, top and bottom of the seat, and lid) with "Method" disinfectant spray.
5. Spray the sink, faucet, and handles with "Method" disinfectant spray.
6. While the toilet bowl cleaner and "Method" spray sit to disinfect, sweep the bathroom and discard debris in the garbage.
7. Observe if mopping is necessary. If necessary, see "Flipping Main Hall" for how to mop.
8. Remove garbage bags from each garbage. There is one tall garbage by the sinks, one small garbage by the door, and one small garbage in each stall.
9. Replace tall garbage can by the sink with a tall white garbage bag from the plastic drawer in the Cleaning Closet Hallway.
10. Replace the small garbages with small garbage bags found on the bottom shelf of the teal (Women's room) cart.
11. Compile the garbages into the tall garbage bag and bring to the Kitchen. All garbage bags in the Kitchen will be taken out at the end of the night.
12. Check the toilet paper and paper towel stock on the bathrooms carts. If low, find toilet paper and paper towel refills on the shelf on the left side of the storage room as you walk through the second sliding door.
13. Refill soap dispenser with the soap refill.
14. Once the toilet and sink cleaners have been sitting for at least 5 minutes, use the toilet bowl scrubber found in the handicap stall and scrub each toilet to remove any mold and other marks. Toilet bowl should become bubbly.
15. Repeat with the remaining toilets, then flush.
16. With the gray cleaning rag, wipe the surface of the toilet that was sprayed with "Method" disinfectant spray.
17. With the second gray cleaning rag, wipe the surface of the sink, faucet, and handles.
18. Discard both cleaning rags in the gray canvas tote underneath the dishwasher counter.
19. Repeat these steps in the Loft Bathrooms.
What does “done right” look like?
Cleaning the bathrooms are done only when guests have left.
Loft bathrooms may be cleaned before guests leave, as long as the loft is not occupied.
Common problems or mistakes?
Make sure all garbages are empty with garbage bags replaced.
Refill all soap dispensers and paper towels.
The floors in the Men's room become very sticky and should be mopped after each wedding.
Cardboard toilet paper rolls often fall behind the toilet- make sure to check for and dispose of.
